BioBased USA to sponsor upcoming TBARA races.

By Dave Shotsberger

The TBARA is proud to announce that BioBased USA will be the title sponsor for the next two races.

BioBased USA will be the title sponsor of the race at Orlando Speedworld on July 30th and the race at New Smyrna Speedway on July 31st. Don Wilshe, owner and founder of BioBased USA, has made numerous contributions to the TBARA and its members in the past.

Mr. Wilshe and his wife Sue Ellen also had a huge part in making the dream of the BioBased.US Xtreme Sprint Series become a reality. If you happen to see Mr. and Mrs. Wilshe wandering the pit area at Orlando or New Smyrna, please take a moment to thank them for their contributions.

It’s people like this that help the TBARA continue to be the premiere series in Florida.

About

The premier pavement sprint car series in the South, and some would say in the country, the Tampa Bay Area Racing Association (TBARA) has been racing from 1973 through 2009 and is preparing for its 40th season. Known as "the ground pounders," these purpose-built pavement sprint cars are powered by fire-breathing 360 motors and piloted by some of the best drivers in the country.

Current drivers include two-time USAC Silver Crown champ Dave Steele, two-time TBARA champ Troy DeCaire, and past race winners Bo Hartley, Dude Teate, Larry Brazil Jr. and the first female to win a sprint car feature with a major touring series in the southeast, Wendy Mathis.
